When someone locks onto you
This is where people usually throw the mission away. The second another player shows interest, they panic. They swerve everywhere, stop to shoot back, or get distracted trying to win a fight that doesn't matter. Don't do that. Your cargo is the mission, not the ego battle. Keep moving. Use buildings, hills, tunnels, whatever breaks line of sight. If you can stretch the distance, do it. If you can force them into a bad angle, even better. Know when to cut your losses
There are times when a run is still salvageable, and times when it's just dead. If the vehicle is wedged, if multiple players are clearly hunting you, or if the whole lobby suddenly wakes up and heads your way, switching sessions can save you from a full disaster. Yeah, you'll lose a small portion of product, but that's a lot better than losing the lot. Most consistent money in GTA doesn't come from taking heroic risks. It comes from being patient, reading the lobby, and backing out when the odds are awful.
