Hi everyone,
I'm currently exploring options for improving my night-time hunting setup and am trying to understand the differences between thermal rifle scopes and other types of night vision optics. I’m particularly interested in how they perform in various conditions, such as in total darkness, through fog, or during adverse weather.
From what I gather, thermal scopes detect heat signatures, which seems like a major advantage in complete darkness or when visibility is compromised. However, I’ve also heard that traditional night vision optics have their own strengths, such as enhanced detail and clarity under certain conditions.
I appreciate any advice or information you can share!
Thanks in advance!
