In a filing with the Australian Stock Exchange, parent company Cell Aquaculture Ltd said Cambodia's Roxy Casino has scheduled a grand opening on Aug. 12.
The building, located in the city of Babet, Sbaiering Province, had a soft opening ceremony on May 26 after a refurbishment and renovation.
Roxy Casino features a main game hall with 15 game tables and eight "online game tables" and a premium game area with five tables.
The 24-hour casino also has a sports betting area focused on slot machines and international soccer matches.
The accommodation includes a four-star hotel with 20 rooms and a restaurant.
Roxy Casino is only 200 meters from the border from Cambodia to South Vietnam.
Cell Aquaculture says, "Vietnamese locals are the most important market for Roxy Casino because it is adjacent to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam's largest city." Babet is 87 km from Ho Chi Minh City.
Vietnam has a population of about 92.5 million people. There are several casinos in the country, but authorities prohibit Vietnamese from gambling at home unless they carry foreign passports.
In Cambodia, locals are being prevented from gambling in casinos, but the industry says the "no locals" policy is loosely enforced.
