Malaysia-based casino electronic gaming and services supplier RGB International Bhd has appointed Ng Keng Luen as the company's chief strategy officer. The appointment took effect on Thursday, the company said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.
Mr. Ng, 41, has "nearly 20 years of experience" in finance, Mr. RGB said.
The Malaysian national was head of equity research at Malaysian investment bank JP Morgan between August 2020 and June 2023, according to information provided by the company.
Mr. Ng served as a director at Deutsche Bank in Singapore from 2015 to 2019, and as a equity strategist for markets covering the countries that make up the Association of Southeast Asian Nations.
From 2005 to 2014, he worked for Bank of America Merrill Lynch (now Bank of America and BofA Securities).
RGB reported in May net income of slightly above MYR 10.5 million ($2.3 million) in the three months to March 31, compared to a loss of MYR 3.3 million in the prior-year quarter. The results also represented sequential improvements. RGB reported net income of slightly above MYR 9.3 million in the last quarter of 2022.
The company operates three main segments: sales and marketing of gaming equipment, technical support and management, and engineering services.
