OK Savings Bank Brion Challengers' Lee "Efort" Sang-ho revealed his mindset for playing in the CL stage.
Brion swept T1 Esports Academy 2-0 in the first round of the 2024 LCK Challengers League Spring at WDG Esports Studio in Jung-gu, Seoul on Tuesday. The victory was Brion's fifth win of the season, and they finished the first round on a high note. Lee Sang-ho played Renata Glask, Karma and more against T1. In a post-match interview, Lee said, "We've won online, but it's been a long time since we've won offline. I'm very happy," he said of his victory.
Lee Sang-ho was sent down earlier this month and is playing in the Challengers League. In his current situation, he is determined to do his best. "I don't know the details because the manager and coach decide internally when I'm suspended or called up. But I think they're making the best decision to win," he said, adding, "I have a mindset that it's okay to work hard wherever I am."
He also explained that he is trying to fulfill the role of a veteran. "I think the role of a supporter is to lead the team. I'm trying to take the initiative and play the 스포츠토토 role of a leader when I'm down," he emphasized.
On this day, Lee was paired with long-range dealer Kyu-joon "Enosh" Kwak. Although they hadn't played together for a long time, they put together an impressive lineup from the start to help their team win. "We've known each other since last year," said Lee Sang-ho, "and I felt like I was teaching him, but I think he's grown a lot this time. We're getting to the stage where we're working well together," he said, praising Kwak Gyu-joon.
After winning the last game of the first round, Brion's next opponent is Hanwha Life Esports Challengers. Hanwha Life is the favorite, but Brion has beaten them before in the first round. Lee Sang-ho is also confident, saying, "I think we'll have an advantage because we beat them in the first round. If we prepare well and not let our guard down, I think we can win the same way," he said.
Finally, Lee Sang-ho thanked his fans for coming to the event and vowed to continue his good behavior. "It helps to have fans cheering hard in front of me every time I come to an offline match," he said, adding, "If you continue to support us like that, we will repay you with victory."
