Korea University big man Shin Joo-young announced an early entry into the professional league.

Shin Joo-young is a sophomore at Korea University and is a 200cm big man.

Shin Ju-young decided to participate in the 2023 KBL rookie draft after long consideration. The will to compete at a higher place warmed his heart.

Shin Joo-young, who went to Korea University after Samsung Elementary School, Yongsan Middle School, and Yongsan High School, was evaluated as a big shot in Korea University's future and played with the Taegeuk mark at the 2021 FIBA Men's Basketball World Cup.

He is 200cm tall and has long wings. He is still only a promising player, but if he develops for a long time, he will be able to be competitive enough on the professional stage.

In fact, in this year's rookie draft, there are no clear fourth-ranked candidates other than Moon Jung-hyun, Park Moo-bin (Korea University), and Yoo Ki-sang (Yonsei University), and Shin Joo-young is a threat to fourth-ranked candidates at a time when not many players have declared early entry.

Shin Joo-young said, “I thought a lot and decided to go pro. She learned a lot while working with good seniors at Korea University. She decided that she could learn more in the pros,” she revealed.

Meanwhile, Shin Joo-young played in 9 games in the 2022 season when he was a freshman, averaging 7.4 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.2 assists. However, this year, when he became a sophomore, he struggled with minor injuries, including hamstring and ankle injuries.
