Mr. Virk first gained exposure to criminal law while attending law schools in both Canada and the United States. He interned with the State Appellate Defender's office representing Good criminal lawyers in toronto indigent clients and drafted criminal appeals for the Michigan Supreme Court. He also interned at the Michigan District Court where he assisted the Chief Judge, prior to attending and completing his studies at the University of Windsor Law School. Mr. Virk was awarded with the Certificate of Merit Award in Advocacy.
Mr. Virk has written numerous articles relating to criminal law issues and regularly provides lectures and speeches to various institutions and associations. Mr. Virk has appeared on CBC, CTV, Global, City TV and 680NEWS. Mr. Virk's cases have been featured in The Globe & Mail, The Toronto Star and The Toronto Sun
