Conventional documents in Word, PDF, PowerPoint, Excel, etc. are the primary focus of a document management system (DMS), which also maintains structured data. Website content (in the form of HTML and PDF files) and digital assets are just two examples of the types of data that a content management system (CMS) can manage (images and audio and video files).
