AAV Infectious Titer | Adeno associated virus (AAV) is an important viral vector for gene therapy. It is useful because of its vast tropism, minimal immunogenicity, lack of association with any disease, and the capacity to achieve efficient and persistent gene transfer. As early as 1995, an AAV vector was first used to treat cystic fibrosis in a human patient. So far, more than two hundred clinical trials involving AAV have been conducted, whereby AAV vectors have shown great prospects in treating different human diseases. |
