All people have stellar resumes from the anime community, you're all very well-known. You must've been asked hundreds of times what advice does one give for aspiring voice actors, but I'm kinda curious…what's one myth with this profession Digimon Masters Online Currency that you might want to bust? What's a very important factor that you think folks have a lot of assumptions about?
Seth: A lot of people think it is not difficult, you already know? And it takes numerous years of doing it. You know, to me it was experiencing it, carrying it out, configuring it right, studying to work the mic, and all of the stuff, but I realize that a lot on the fans trying to become voice actors think, "Oh, it's simple," you already know?
O'Shaughnessey: I think additionally, they think, "Oh, people tell me the many time I've got an excellent voice."
No, you want acting experience. You have being able to develop a character. It's not merely about having ... a terrific voice is a great place to start, and you have being able to get sound advice with it. It's like playing a device. "Oh, I have a violin." That doesn't mean you may play it. You know, it's form of corny to state it, but I do consider it a musical instrument. You have to find out what it can perform, what its limitations are, and what its abilities are, and acting classes, like anything ... my worst question that folks ask me is, "When do you think you're gonna carry out DMO Currency some real acting?" Boy! It's inside name! "Voice acting," you already know? And so I always tell people, "All within your basic 'Acting-101' things, they each apply to voice-over.
Seth: I would say the ditto, that voice acting is acting and folks think that if they've got an interesting voice it's sufficient. But you need to find out, as Colleen said, how to experiment with that instrument and ways in which to convey emotion using instrument, using your voice. Therefore, it truly is acting, but instead of your all five senses which to express those emotions, you need to channel everything just throughout the voice. It's more rarefied. It's, in some ways, more challenging.
