Graphically, MLB The Show 18 Stubs remains among the best looking sports games available on the market, no doubt as a result of the fact that it is only optimized and made for the PlayStation 4. Stadiums are true to life, light is exceptional at all times of the day and many of improvements have been made to the quality of player models. I love all the subtle but effective improvements made during the name. Players can now wear face masks, so the Yankees give the thumbs down on big hits and the Mets fanatics are far out from the bleachers yelling this up.

These small tweaks make The Show 18 feel just like a legitimate representation of the game, and it is this newfound swagger which makes the game feel much more fun. The sole downside of this presentation package is the comment that may still feel disjoined and insistent at times. It's beginning to fall much behind the excellent commentary found in Madden and NBA 2K.

Gameplay is much improved this year, as hitting has been elegant and adjusted to better reflect excellent swing choices. Players are rewarded for assaulting errors down the centre instead of swinging at good pitches which are painting the corners. I found that if I was patient at the plate my team would find greater success. Pitching is still as accurate as usual, but you're certainly punished more for bad throws. The Display 18 now comes with a ton of new fielding animations as well, and plays into the ball feel silky smooth. I could turn double plays with ease and the ability to fluidly move the ball around the bases or in from the outfield was noticeably improved. The amount of errors committed in The Show 18 is much lower thanks to Buy MLB 18 Stubs.
