Application and discussion of ERW steel tube in oil and gas storage and transportation

Abstract:Through seamless steel tube (SML), spiral welded pipe (SAW), high frequency straight seam welded pipe (ERW) of the three kinds of commonly used oil and gas storage and transportation pipe technology and standard comparison, at the same time explore ERW steel pipe in the condition of high temperature and low temperature performance, ERW welded pipe is put forward in the field of oil and gas storage and transportation leading advanced product performance, quality, more economic pole, should become the first choice in the field of oil and gas storage and transportation pipes, especially oil, petrochemical, oil, and natural gas should be widely used in the field of city pipe network.

Sat Argentina has one production line for RBE, two for ERW and one for the auger. According to Siat, in Argentina, spiral welded arc-welded pipes are generally used for water delivery and piling.RBE straight seam submerged arc welding pipes are used in main trunk lines of oil and gas transmission, and ERRW welding pipes are used in some branch lines.



Russia Seversky Tubeworks has 6 ERW welded pipe production lines. The first production line was built in 1962, and the latest workshop was built in 1993. The steel pipe diameter is 6-32mm, 10-76mm, 20-76mm, 20-102mm, 73-219mm, 102-220mm.

The United States' GENEVA STEEL, CSI TUBULAR PRODUCTS, IPSCO TUBULARS, LONE STAR, NEWPORT STEEL, TUBACERO INTERNATIONAL, and US STEEL TUBULAR PRODUCTS all have ERW weld pipe production lines.[1]

In China, large and medium-sized diameter ERW steel pipe appeared in the late 1980s and early 1990s, but the development is extremely rapid, the product market coverage is increasing, the product has entered the oil, petrochemical, natural gas, construction, power, mining, coal, urban pipe network, building structure, and other industrial fields.
