Asian stocks closed in the morning, weaker. After the US Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin admitted that The White House and Democrats may not be able to reach an agreement for a new stimulus package ahead of the Nov. 3 presidential election.
The NIKKEI 225 Index xo slot closed in the morning at 23,517.63 points, down 109.10 points, -0.46%.
The HSI Index, the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, closed the morning at 24,350.44 points, down 316.65 points, -1.28%.
The FBMKLCI, Malaysian stocks closed the morning at 1,519.41 points, down 3.84 points, -0.25%.
Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin acknowledged that it would be difficult to reach an agreement to issue a stimulus package ahead of the Nov. 3 presidential election. Democrats and Republicans remained at stake on several issues. This includes the limit of such measures.

 


Pelosi has rejected the White House's $ 1.8 trillion offer, saying it was not enough to mitigate the effects of COVID-19. While Democrats are offering $ 2.2 trillion.
