So I went on RS3 to try out the new ability, and buy RuneScape gold it's super fun. It has all the important elements: Rewarding, enjoyable and lore-wise exciting. The ability isn't just a skill that is boring where you remain at precisely the same place most of the time. You move forth and back between some stunning locations all the way to 99 from lvl 1. As a bonus, there's mysteries you can discover while training it, which can be like some small quests- they reward you with a little quantity of exp after finishing, and theres tetracompass pieces you can collect which are like clue scrolls with brand new rewards, and also at higher level you're able to collect some rare weapon pieces that can be traded for a great deal of gp. The concept behind the ability is amazing, and I think something similar would fit OSRS. Has anybody tried it out? If this is the case, what's your opinion?

I found Archeology slow and boring. The lore is cool but that is kinda it. Having played RS3 a decent bit the last couple months, exactly what I need in OSRS is much more quests. RS3 is worth playing for the quests. I don't remember the xp speeds off the top of my mind. I did it a few months ago and have not gone back. I do recall you get hardly any xp till you can repair an item it gives a large boost. Finding that item is slow. I found an absolute slog and it incredibly slow. I can't think of a skill to train.

I definitely think a new skill that's consistent with the of gaming is needed by osrs. It would be nice to have a skill that is not such a grind. A lot people are comfortable and embrace the grind since it's all we know. Like it puts off a lot of players, I feel. Would be great for players when there was more interactive skill that didn't feel like such a tireless slog and really rewarding in short bursts. Osrs has done well with in this respect to PVM using the mechanics for supervisors. Additionally things like zalcono, gauntlet as well as the new agility are steps in the ideal direction. It has been refreshing to see a new way to train skills.

If jagex implemented all of this I think that it could be well done and received by the neighborhood. I believe sepulchre is a version of how content that is skilling should be designed by them. The XP rates should be lower or equal to meta training, but make it enjoyable and engaging to do. Because I can enjoy the sepulchre for an hour, I do hallowed runs in xp an hour than seers in 50k. People so often get angry at eliminating"the mill", but it's still gonna require dozens of hours to max a skill with participating material should you make the xp rates exactly the same as current training procedures. The grind will just be a match instead of spam clicking.

Imo you have it backwards. Meta as a result of focus and clicks required should not be in xp or xp that is greater than Sepulchre. Enjoyment should not be a variable. End game bosses require large attention for great reward. Sepulchre requires the same. Agree with the philosophy, although I think sweaty people whine when new training approaches come out that are meta xp prices, therefore it is probably difficult to rs2007 gold pass fluctuations that surpass current training procedures. Plus there is a gp element we are ignoring in this. Sepulchre makes more money so that should be accounted for in xp rates.
