The Centre for Educational Research and Development (CERD) is a national organization charged with modernization and development of education, based on educational planning, in collaboration with all stakeholders in the country. Development of curriculum and material is within the mandate of CERD.Educational research and development

Life Skills-Related: The title of the programme is “Reproductive Health/ Sexual Education. The UNFPA-led project implemented in collaboration with CERD regarding sexual education, or reproductive health was a four year process, in which key stakeholders were consulted (Students; Parents; Teachers) prior to the development of this specific life skills packet. This included both qualitativem and quantitative research, which was published in 2006. The curricular/ material development process was participatory as well: CERD development team would draft modules and share with a broader committee that included representatives from private school, NGOs, and all key government stakeholders for validation and feedback.
