Napoleon Hill used this title to discuss  Subliminal Guru Review the fact that nature never lets anyone get something that they are not entitled to, nor does it let anyone get less than they deserve for the work they do. This is an interesting idea and one that I wasn't sure I believed at first. One example why: I knew a man that was born into a family of rather significant financial means.

He rarely worked and seemed to be given much of life's tangible goods. Houses, cars, toys, trips, and amenities were all provided. A job came to him in the family business without much effort or schooling. Now he has much of life's "things" and, from the outside, it appears he hasn't done much to get them. My wife and I have struggled through being a teacher (lots of emotional benefits, not much in the way of actual benefits!) and trying to raise 1 then 2 then 3 then 4 kids. We struggled with finances every week, every day, to the point that I was driven to my knees in total humility many times never knowing where the next solution would come from. While my parents and my in-laws were supportive and exceptionally loving and supporting, we never got what this other family got! Why did this happen? This didn't sound like the law of Compensation to me! I was working my butt off and not getting any of the things that others, who it appears worked less than I did, got.

But then thoughts of trading life experiences came to my mind. What is the compensation for sleepless nights, prayerful nights of total anguish and stress about where the money for the next bill will come? I have come to appreciate that payment. Humility. Perseverance. Trust in God. Personal Growth. What is the payment for a life of financial ease? Don't know! Maybe these previously mentioned characteristics can come in other ways, but I have a hard time seeing how.
