World of Warcraft Classic has been hit by a DDoS attack this weekend, which began on Saturday, and although Blizzard said the problem has now been resolved, some players still report that they cannot log on certain servers. As Kotaku reported, this DDoS attack began around 11:00 ET (3pm UK time) yesterday, with a group called UKDrillas claiming responsibility, stating on Twitter that they would bike through the WoW Classic server with their DDoS shots (the group's Twitter account has since been suspended).

At the time of the attack, Blizzard confirmed the problem via Twitter and explained that it was actively trying to stop the disruption. "Some online services continue to be affected by a series of DDoS attacks that result in high latency and disconnections," the tweet said. "The effect of this disruption has been felt by some of our players, which influenced their playing experience. Thank you again for your patience. " When starting to play World of Warcraft Classic game, WOW Classic Gold is a necessary element on condition that you would like to hold a leadership position in World of Warcraft Classic game.

Blizzard confirmed that problems with some online services remain, including high latency and disconnections. The players themselves report ongoing problems with logging into Battle.net, while others worry that the attack might not be over (though it could be mixed because there is server maintenance scheduled for today).

In response, the developer of World of Warcraft Pazorax posted on the official MMORPG forum that Blizzard was monitoring the situation. There are steps in development that will prevent layering from being exploited, which may include delays in transferring between layers. "However, we also want to assure you that this problem is a much smaller problem than some claim," Pazorax said, adding that many stories involving exploitation that they had examined were "very inaccurate."
