This round light arrived boxed with a metal Ez Battery Reconditioning Review base which attaches to the 4 magnets on the light back, a 3M double sided sticky pad and some instructions. For a light like this the important parts are the motion sensor being sensitive enough and the quality of the light output. I have a few motion lights I bought myself for various locations one being under the stairs which is used for storage with no mains connection there isn't any light there making it hard to find items if you are hunting for them. This is idea for that application as well as other locations (large cupboards or units) even a shed/garage. Power is via 3 x AAA cells I'd recommend rechargeable ones none are supplied.

Aside from looking nice the round design has some advantages over my own lights firstly LED's are great but they are very directional ie the light tends to be in a single area or concentrated. Here the solution is a good one they've incorporated a round white circle with the LED's pointing out from the sides not only does this give multiple areas of light with a bigger spread but it softens the light considerably it's just nicer to look at than bar LED's pointing towards your eyes - the choice of warm white is also a good one.

Material on this are excellent it feels very well made and makes my own units look a bit weedy in build. The motion sensor is the dome in the central position this has a range of approx. 3 metres and it had a good angle of spread not just in the central region. If you are attaching the metal place to a porous surface you might want to use some contact adhesive thought the pad is more than up to the job on a smooth one you could drill a hole and screw it if that works there are none pre-drilled on the plate; of course being magnetic any metal areas you can just use it directly minus the plate.
