Sexual abuse and trauma People who were Blood Sugar Premier sexually abused as children sometimes unconsciously form a layer of fat around themselves to protect them, and act as a kind of repellent - the unconscious reasoning may be that if they are fat they are not sexually attractive. Many of our brain patterns are formed unconsciously on account of emotional pain or trauma. We may be totally unaware that we overeat in order to make ourselves unattractive in a bid to repel someone.

Not good enough A tendency to overeat may be caused by a basic, but mostly unconscious feeling that we are not good enough. Our parents may have made some contribution, often unwittingly, but we may also have developed a sense of worthlessness later on in life - at school, through relationships or at work.

Perhaps we expend a great deal of mental energy throughout our lives to prove that we are indeed good enough, in fact that we are better than most, but although we may achieve and excel, we never seem to feel good enough. It is a though we unconsciously perceive that we have a cavity or a kind of "black hole" inside of us - like the black holes in space that suck up stars endlessly without becoming sated.
