When Jagex released Prifddinas, The Lost City of RuneScape gold the Elves, three decades ago, it was among the biggest content upgrades that the game had ever obtained. Menaphos is even larger. That's not a facile comparison. Menaphos is a proper urban sprawl on par with Varrock: you can enter virtually every building, have a distinct conversation with nearly every NPC, and research a couple of secret locations further afield if you've experienced everything the Golden City has to offer you. To call the expansion Menaphos is even doing it a little injustice, as there are in fact two cities to explore beyond the walls - Menaphos and Sophanem, it's anagrammed opposite.

While you will want to be a mid-level Runescape member to enter Menaphos, once inside you'll get a remarkably open town, with only a few areas sealed off till you're farther into the growth's quest collection. Below the city there is a procedurally-generated skilling dungeon and an enormous Slayer dungeon, the former offering a fresh and limitless space for non-combat skill fostering, while the latter functions as a high-level Slayer dungeon with critters starting at combat level 101.

Of course, that depends upon what level you are as you go in the growth and how fully you want to research beyond the four chief quests and 21 level increase to the Slayer ability. This is an unparalleled amount of content for one Runescape upgrade, and Jagex's intention to buy rs3 gold release another expansion of this size in September and December reveals this is not a one-off gesture; it is a new method of playing Runescape.
