Adapting Bioimaging Segmentation Pipelines to Automotive Surface Mapping

I’m curious whether existing bioimaging segmentation pipelines (like Cellpose or Ilastik) could be retrained for automotive object detection - e.g., isolating parts of a car frame in a 3D scan.

Has anyone here tried adapting bioimaging models for non-organic 3D segmentation tasks, such as in automated vehicle inspections?

We’re experimenting with some AutoStar Transport Express related transport datasets happy to share insights if anyone’s interested.

Appreciate any guidance or references!

Thanks
