The biggest drawback of QuickBooks Accounting Software is that the advertisement promotes it as simple to use. While it is, relatively, user-friendly, it is very difficult to ‘just start your file and run your business.’
Many small/medium business owners do not have the skills to set up an accounting system and customize the procedures to enable streamlined processing, reconciliations, and reporting, as well as provide the financial statements and general ledgers for the tax preparer.
With this in mind, I work with, train, and support all versions of QuickBooks.
For small/medium businesses the desktop versions will meet most of the business' needs.
While I support clients on QuickBooks Online, I do not recommend it to my clients.
