First, close the Outlook application.

Ensure that the Show hidden files and folders option is selected in the Folder options. Because the scanpst.exe file is a hidden file.

To verify these settings follow the following steps:

Click on Start -> Control panel.

Double-click on the Folder options, then move to the View tab.

In the Hidden files and folders, ensure that Show hidden files and folders option is enabled, and then click on Ok.

Click on Start, and then click on Search.

Go to the search box, type scanpst.exe. If you are unable to find the scanpst.exe file by this. Try the manual method. Check out the following path for the file:

64-bit Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 10

drive:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE16
