Malaysia Magnum extends deal with Intralot

Malaysian lottery operator Magnum Corporation Sdn Bhd has signed an option with Greek game supplier Intralot SA to extend its contract for another seven years and another two years.

According to a statement from Intralot, the contract covers the purchase, installation, and support of an advanced integrated lottery system to support up to 2,450 game terminals, among other items. The process will begin immediately, with operations expected to begin in mid-2015.

The Greek company will also provide service functions such as customer and marketing support and all services required for system operation and maintenance during the contract period.

"This is another leap forward to strengthen Intralot's presence in the region over the next few years," Ioannis Pantoleon, the company's chief operating officer, said in a statement.

Intralot operates in 57 regions and posted revenue of 1.54 billion euros ($2.1 billion) in 2013.
