Casino equipment maker Bally Technologies Inc Bally said Tuesday, July 1, it has completed its acquisition of Israel-based online social game software developer Dragonplay Ltd. Last month, Bally Technologies said it was paying $100 million to Dragonplay to enter the thriving online social casino gaming market.
Bali Technologies added at the time that it expects the acquisition to increase adjusted earnings per share for fiscal 2015.
In a recent statement, the company reiterated that DragonPlay, launched in 2010, is one of the top 10 revenue game developers in the social casino genre, with about 700,000 active users per day.
For the 12 months ended March 31, 2014, Dragonplay reported earnings before interest, taxation, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) of more than US$10 million.
Dragonplay has developed games for Google's Android platform, but they are also available on Facebook and Apple's iOS.
