The Korea Volleyball Federation (KOVO) announced on the afternoon of the 17th, "We will inform you of the result of the contract as the 2024 KOVO women's FA negotiation period ends."

Of the 18 players who have obtained FA qualifications, six are heading to other teams, half of which are players from GS Caltex. The transfer of Lee So-young (Director Chung → IBK Industrial Bank) and Lee Ju-ah (Heungkuk Life → IBK Industrial Bank), who have experience in the national team, is also drawing attention.

By club, Jung Ji-yoon (Grade A) and Na Hyun-soo (Grade B) chose to stay in Hyundai Engineering & Construction, the winner of the 2023-2024 season. The two players signed a total of 450 million won (annual salary of 350 million won and option of 100 million won) and 120 million won (annual salary of 100 million won and option of 20 million won), respectively. In the case of Kim Joo-hyang (Grade B), he transferred to GS Caltex for a total of 220 million won (annual salary of 150 million won and option of 70 million won).

At Heungkuk Life Insurance Co., Kim Mi-yeon and Lee Won-jeong (Grade A) chose to renew contracts with a total of 90 million won (annual salary of 70 million won and option of 20 million won) and 130 million won (annual salary of 110 million won and option of 20 million won), respectively. Lee Ju-ah (Grade A) wore IBK Industrial Bank uniform for a total of 402.1 million won (annual salary of 330 million won and option of 72.1 million won).

Among the four A-rated players, yellow (total 180 million won / annual salary 150 million won, option 30 million won), Park Eun-jin (total 350 million won / annual salary 300 million won, option 50 million won), and Park Hye-min (total 210 million won / annual salary 200 million won, option 10 million won) remain in the original team. Lee So-young (total 700 million won / annual salary 450 million won, option 250 million won), one of the biggest fish in the FA market, transferred from the articles of association to IBK Industrial Bank.

Choi Eun-ji (B grade), Han Da-hye, and Kang So-hwi (A grade) all left the team. Choi moved to Heungkuk Life Insurance for a total of 160 million won (130 million won per year and 30 million won per year), while Ha joined hands with Pepper Savings Bank for 280 million won (250 million won per year and 30 million won per year). Kang is taking on a new challenge as he transferred to Korea Expressway Corporation for 800 million won (500 million won per year and 300 million won per year).

Kim Ha-kyung (grade A), Kim Hyun-jung (grade B), and Ko Ui-jeong (grade A) of the Korea Expressway Corporation all remained in the original team. Kim Ha-kyung signed a total of 157.1 million won (annual salary of 135 million won, option of 22.1 million won), Kim Shin-jang signed a contract with IBK Industrial Bank for a total of 102.1 million won (annual salary of 80 million won, option of 22.1 million won), and Ko Ui-jeong concluded the negotiations for a total of 75 million won (annual salary of 50 million won, option of 25 million won).

In accordance with Articles 4, 5, and 9 of the KOVO Free Agent Management Regulations, the team that has recruited FA must submit a list of protected players to the original team by 12 p.m. on the 18th, and the original team must select a compensated player by 6 p.m. on the 21st.

The compensation method differs slightly depending on the FA grade. A team that has recruited A-rated players (more than 100 million won per year) will be compensated by one player designated by the FA's original team among the players other than 200 percent of the previous season's annual salary and six protected players (the FA players in the relevant year are also included in the scope of protection options), or the original team will have to pay a transfer fee of 300 percent of the annual salary just before the original team's season. In this case, the original team will decide how to compensate. Teams that have recruited B-rated players (from 50 million won to less than 100 million won per year) and C-rated players (from 50 million won per year) will have to pay 300 percent and 150 percent of their annual salary to the original team, respectively, without compensation players.

Meanwhile, GS Caltex Han Su-ji (Grade A) chose to retire as an active player, and Kim Hae-bin (Grade B) of Pepper Savings Bank failed to complete his contract.
