Forbes introduced the MLB Seoul Series on the 1st (local time) as one of the five major sports events of 2024 that go well with travel.
The media said, "The Los Angeles Dodgers and the San Diego Padres will play two regular league games in Seoul from March 20 to 21," adding, "It is the first time that an MLB game will be held in Seoul."

He also said, "The Dodgers have many players from Asia, including Shohei Ohtani and Yoshinobu Yamamoto, and San Diego, including Kim Ha-sung, Yu Darvish, and Yuki Matsui, which will attract a lot of attention from Korean and Japanese fans."
Forbes said, "There are many things to see and enjoy in Seoul, Asia's largest city," adding, "This sports event will fascinate Seoul."
The media also introduced the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, the final match of the PGA Tour's AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, Wimbledon tennis tournament, the 2024 Paris Olympics, and the Formula One (F1) World Championship.
MLB.COM, the website of MLB, also cited the Seoul opening series as a major issue to look forward to in the new year.
MLB.COM said on the 2nd, "A special opening game will be held in Korea in March this year," adding, "You can meet Ohtani in a Dodgers uniform first in Seoul."
After announcing the opening series schedule, the media also said, "There is still time to renew your passport (to watch the Seoul series in person)."
In addition to the Seoul series, MLB plans to hold an exhibition game in the Dominican Republic this year and hold two consecutive games between the Houston Astros and the Colorado Rockies in Mexico City in April.
