Hanwha Eagles signed a new contract with foreign left-handed pitcher Ricardo Sanchez (26).

Hanwha announced on the 26th that it signed a contract with Sanchez worth up to $750,000 (about 970 million won), including $100,000 in down payment, $500,000 in annual salary, and $150,000 in incentives.

Sanchez, who signed with Hanwha as a replacement foreign player in April of this year and received an annual salary of $400,000, will receive nearly double the amount if he meets all incentive requirements.

Sanchez appeared in 24 games this season, pitched 126 innings, and achieved a record of 7 wins, 8 losses, and an ERA of 3.79.

Especially in his first 9 games, he went 5 wins, 0 losses, and had an ERA of 1.48.

He struck out 99 batters while only allowing 28 walks, showing off his solid command. Among pitchers who pitched more than 100 innings, the ratio of strikeouts divided by walks was 8th in the league (3.54).

After renewing his contract, Sanchez said, “I am happy to be able to continue my relationship with Hanwha. “I’m already excited to meet Daejeon fans again,” he said. “I will make use of my strengths that emerged throughout this season and make up for my shortcomings to show a better performance next season.”

Hanwha, which previously renewed the contract with Felix Peña (total value of $1.05 million) and recruited new foreign hitter Jonathan Peraza (total value of $1 million), also renewed the contract with Sanchez, completing the lineup of foreign players for the 2024 season. 슬롯사이트
