South Korea's team celebrates after scoring a goal during their round of 16 match against Kyrgyzstan.
South Korea's bid for a third consecutive Asian Games title has reached the quarterfinals with a 5-1 win over Kyrgyzstan.
Hwang Sun-hong's men's national soccer team won their round of 16 match against Kyrgyzstan 5-1 on Sunday at the Jinhua Sports Center Stadium in Zhejiang, China.
South Korea opened the scoring in the 11th minute when Baek Seung-ho converted a penalty kick earned by Seol Young-woo. A minute later, Jung Woo-young headed home a cross from Uhm Won-sang to make it 2-0.

At the start of the second half, Park Jae-yong and Jung Ho-young were replaced by Cho Young-wook and Hong Hyun-seok. In the 15th minute of the second half, Lee took off Lee Kang-in and brought on Lee Yong-joon.
With a shaky lead, Korea was awarded a penalty kick in the 29th minute for a handball. Jung Woo-young converted from the spot, and South Korea added goals from Cho Young-wook in the 34th minute and Hong Hyun-seok in the 40th minute to seal the 5-1 victory.
