South Korea win gold in 200m freestyle - setting new record
Panzaner settles for silver

In the main events, 카지노사이트랭크 it was no contest. South Korean swimming sensation Hwang Sun-woo (20-Gangwon Provincial Office) won gold in the 200-meter freestyle to give rival Pan Zhan-li (19-China) a clean sweep.

Hwang Sun-woo was the first to touch the touchpad in the men's 200m freestyle final in a time of 1:44.40 at the Aquatics Sports Arena at the Hangzhou Asian Games 2022 at the Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China on Sunday.

He broke the Asian Games meet record and the Korean record to win his first individual gold medal at the Games.

It is only the second time in 13 years that a South Korean athlete has won gold in the men's 200m freestyle at an Asian Games after Park Tae-hwan in Doha 2006 and Guangzhou 2010.

Broadening the scope of the medals, Hwang is only the fourth South Korean to win a medal in the event. Prior to Park, Cho Oh-ryun (silver) won the event in Tehran in 1974 and Woo Won-ki (bronze) in Hiroshima in 1994.

This is Hwang's fourth medal of the Games and second gold.

After winning bronze in the 100-meter freestyle (48.04) in his first individual event on Thursday, Hwang led Team Korea to gold and an Asian record in the 800-meter freestyle relay (7:01.73) on Friday. On the 26th, he swam the final freestyle leg of the men's 400-meter medley relay to help South Korea win a silver medal and set a new Korean record (3:32.05).

For Hwang, winning gold in the 200m freestyle and setting a new record was a way to get back at Pan Am.

Hwang's only individual events at the Games were the 100m and 200m freestyle.

In the 100-meter freestyle, Hwang had to watch Pan Zhan'er win the gold medal with a new Asian record.

In the preliminaries of the 100m freestyle, Wang Haoyu (CHN) was first in 48.13, Huang Sunwoo was second in 48.54, and Pan Zhanle was third in 48.66 with Katsuhiro Matsumoto (JPN).

However, the outcome of the final was different. Hwang Sun-woo had to settle for bronze as he was outclassed by the Chinese, who had the home-field advantage.

Fan Zhan'er won gold in an Asian record time of 46.97 seconds. He broke the previous Asian record of 47.22, which he set at the China Swimming Championships in May this year, by 0.25 seconds in just over four months.

Wang Haoyu, who was also in fine form, took silver in 48.02.

Hwang Sun-woo slipped to third place with a time of 48.04, 0.48 seconds behind the South Korean record (47.56) he set at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics.

After finishing the 100m freestyle, Hwang said, "I'm disappointed with my time. I want to make up for it in other races," he said.

The duel between Hwang and Pan continued in the team events.

In the 800-meter freestyle relay final on Aug. 25, the two swam side by side as the last swimmers for South Korea and China to split the water. It was Hwang who had the last laugh.

Hwang won gold in the 800-meter freestyle relay final with Yang Jae-hoon (Gangwon Province), Lee Ho-joon (Daegu Metropolitan City) and Kim Woo-min (Gangwon Province) in an Asian record time of 7:01.73.

China took silver with a time of 7:03.40, trailing South Korea by 1.67 seconds.

In the men's 400-meter medley relay final, in which four swimmers swim 100 meters in the order of backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, and freestyle, Hwang Sun-woo and Fan Zhan-er were the final swimmers for South Korea and China.

In the 400-meter medley relay, Fan Zhanle was all smiles. The Chinese team, which featured a strong field in each event, won gold in an Asian record time of 3:27.01.

The South Korean team also set a new Korean record of 3:32.05, but couldn't beat the Chinese.

Unlike the team event, the 200-meter freestyle was once again a battle between Hwang Sun-woo and Fan Zhan-li.

Unlike the 100m freestyle, which was dominated by the expectation that Pan Zhanle would dominate, the 200m freestyle was dominated by Hwang Sunwoo.

Hwang is the world's top swimmer in the 200m freestyle, and not just in Asia.

He won silver in the final of last year's World Championships in Budapest with a Korean record of 1:44.47, and then took bronze in the final of this year's World Championships in Fukuoka with a Korean record of 1:44.42.

Panzaner, on the other hand, didn't even make the final in the 200m freestyle at this year's World Championships. He finished 10th in the semifinals with a time of 1:46.05.

His personal best of 1:44.65 was also behind Hwang's 1:44.65.

Hwang Sun-woo would not be denied. Once again, he gave his rival a run for his money and took home the gold medal.

Hwang Sun-woo and Fan Zhan-er are two of the top rivals not only in Asia but also on the world stage. Their battle of pride will continue at the Paris 2024 Olympics. 고스톱
