Tourist satisfaction with Macau’s casinos fell in the first quarter of this year to the lowest level since the end of 2011, shows the latest Macao Tourist Satisfaction Index.

The sub-index measuring tourist satisfaction with the city’s casinos dropped to 67.9 points in the first three months of this year, in comparison with 72.5 points in the previous quarter. The sub-index stood at 70.4 points in the first quarter of 2013.

The last time the sub-index measuring tourist satisfaction with casinos stood below 68 points was in the fourth quarter of 2011, when it bottomed at 66.1 points.

The results were released earlier this month. No explanation was provided for the drop in visitor satisfaction with the city’s casinos.

The overall Macao Tourist Satisfaction Index also dropped in the first quarter of 2014, from 70.4 points in the previous three months to 69.2 points. 슬롯머신

The Macao Tourist Satisfaction Index is compiled quarterly by the Tourism Research Centre at Macau’s Institute for Tourism Studies. It includes a total of 10 tourism-related sectors. Around 100 visitors per sector are surveyed each quarter, with interviews conducted at major tourism sites and transport hubs.

The index uses a zero to 100-point scale. The higher the index, the more satisfied the tourists are.
