World No. 1 Ataya Titikkun (Thailand) has a special love for Korea. This is why she was willing to participate as a special guest at the Hanwha Classic (total prize money of 1.7 billion won), the third major tournament of the 2023 season of the Korea Women’s Professional Golf (KLPGA) Tour, which opened on the 24th at the Jade Palace Golf Club (par 72, 6777 yards) in Chuncheon, Gangwon-do. She said, “It is an honor to be invited to the Hanwha Classic, a tournament representing the KLPGA tour.” Tttikkun is immersed in Korean culture. Titikkun is a lumber that will lead the world women's golf world. She gained attention in 2017 when she became the youngest person ever to win the Ladies European Tour (LET) Thailand Championship (14 years, 4 months, 19 days). In the 2020 season, she showed off her outstanding skills by sweeping 5 wins on the Thailand tour. The tee is looking to win her first domestic event. The prize money for her win at the Hanwha Classic is 306 million won, the largest in a women's tournament in Korea.
