According to the tennis community on the 23rd, all bank accounts in the name of the association have been seized because the Korea Tennis Association failed to pay back billions of won in debts owed to Media Will, a media and restaurant company. 사설토토 The problem began in 2015 when the Tennis Association took charge of the remodeling project of the Korea Military Academy tennis court in Guri, Gyeonggi-do.

The Tennis Association tried to renovate the 30-page large tennis court and make it the cradle of Korean tennis development. It cost 3 billion won to build a roof and clean up the surface of the court so that you can play tennis regardless of the weather.

The money was borrowed by former chairman Joo Won-hong, who was the president of the association at the time, from Mediawill, run by his younger brother. And instead of paying back the principal, they decided to give Mediawill the right to operate the land court. However, problems have been raised over private companies taking the right to operate the national university's private equity assets, not the tennis association. Some pointed out that the remodeling project itself damaged the green belt.

Former chairman Kwak Yong-woon, who defeated former chairman Joo in the 2016 presidential election, did not fulfill his contract with Mediawill due to these problems. Mediawill filed a lawsuit with the Tennis Association, winning a five-year court battle.

Interest was added to the principal of 3 billion won, and the amount of money the tennis association had to pay back increased to 6 billion won. After the current chairman Chung Hee-kyun's system was launched in early 2021, the Tennis Association reached an agreement with Mediawill.

While delaying the return of the principal, the government will pay back part of the interest and pay back the remaining interest by installing 500 million won each year. Instead, the government will secure the right to operate a tennis court for the land company as originally contracted and hand it over to Mediawill. However, the promise related to the right to operate the tennis court was not kept, and the property of the Tennis Association was seized again earlier this month.

The administration of the Tennis Association was paralyzed as the money line was blocked. It is unclear whether the employee's salary will be paid on the 25th, which is the payday. An official from the Tennis Association said, Chairman Chung said he would give an employee's salary even if he contributed personal money.Suspicions have also been raised one after another against Chung.

When Chairman Chung took office, he created an outer organization called the Korea Junior Tennis Promotion Association, which was illegal, such as receiving donations from various contracts under the name of the Tennis Association and using some of the advertising revenue from international competitions as personal money.

Some argue that there are suspicions of illegality and preferential treatment in various contracts, such as the actual contract being priced at 198,000 won, even though a supplier of the official ball was selected for 140,000 won.

In response to allegations related to the sponsorship, the Tennis Association said, When the association's account was not available due to seizure, two accounts under the name of the sponsorship were made into accounts for the association. All the contents of the account are recorded in the association's official account book, he denied.

Regarding allegations related to official balls, the winning company said several times that it could not deliver 140,000 won per box, so the unit price rose to 198,000 won after signing a contract to change the number of deliveries after approval by the Korea Sports Council.

The Tennis Association said, At the time, we were in desperate need of a successful implementation of the public offering project, adding, If the supply and demand of official balls were not available, it was impossible to proceed with the league and the project itself.

Chairman Chung said, Unintended things may have happened because the association was in an inevitable situation due to the seizure of the association, but added, I did my best to normalize the association and I don't think there was anything illegal. I will look back on whether there was anything inappropriate in the process, he said.
