Mugosa, who was promoted to the K League as the captain of AT Madrid, said, "Korea's level is high...Incheon is a strong team!"
Stefan Mugosa (Incheon United) and Stefan Savic (Atletico Madrid) met not in Montenegro, but in Korea, a faraway country.

Mugosa and Savic are teammates of Montenegro's soccer team, an Eastern European country. Mugosa won the Montenegrin Player of the Year award in 2019, and Savic won the Player of the Year award in 2016-2018 and 2020. Mugosa is the current K-League Incheon's all-time leading scorer and living legend. Savic is the captain of Atlético, which is called Spain's 'La Liga 3 captain'.

Mugosa and Savich met on the 26th at the lobby of a hotel in Yeouido, Seoul. On a hot summer day, I was busy drinking a cup of cool coffee and sharing unfinished stories. It is unknown when these two will meet again in Seoul.

At a press conference held at the Seoul World Cup Stadium on the 28th, Savich brought up the story of Mugosa. “I met Mugosa, a fellow national team member, at our dorm and had coffee together. It was really nice. Mugosa said, 'I'm really happy to return from the J-League in Japan to the K-League in Korea.'”

Mugosa said on  the 28th, "I haven't seen Savich for a long time since the last A match. I was more than happy to meet you in Korea. He told Savitch about the K-League and Korea. He said that there are many good players in the K-League, that Koreans are good, and that Incheon, which I belong to, is a strong team. He told me to enjoy the game against Team K-League.”

What did Savich say to Mugosa? According to Mugosa, Savich said, “The city of Incheon, where the airport is located, was beautiful. Seoul, where the team played against the K-League, is also a pretty city. Seongnam, where the Atlético training ground is located, was also good. It's a pity that I couldn't be in Korea longer," he told Mugosa.

On the 27th, Atletico played the first leg of the Coupang Play Series against Team K League. In the first half, Mugosa's teammate Sabich played, and in the second half, Mugosa's teammate Zerso played. Team K League beat Atletico 3-2.

Mugosa, who was in Vissel Kobe, Japan at the time of the fan vote, said, “I also wanted to play in the Team K-League. It is a very honorable thing to be selected for the all-star team,” he said. “Jerso did really well that day. He had no doubts about his skills. He's a really fast and destructive player. Zerso is a player who will make Incheon stronger.”

Interestingly, Mugosa was watching a professional baseball game between SSG Landers and Hanwha Eagles at Munhak Baseball Stadium in Incheon at the time of the interview. This is because he was invited to pitch and try out from SSG, which is the same place as Incheon. Mugosa was the pitcher, and Incheon defender Oh Ban-seok was the starter. Jeon Jeon-soo, CEO of Incheon, and Zerso, Incheon's mascot Uti, also intuited it.

Mugosa said, “I saw a baseball game for the first time. He heard that Incheon United and SSG have a good relationship because they are from the same area. Fans of the two teams became one under the name Incheon. I hope there will be more exchanges like this,” he said, “thank you to the SSG club for inviting me to pitch.

In the past few days, Mugosa met with fellow national team member Savich in Seoul, and pitched all his might on the mound at the baseball field. He lived a busy but happy life. Now all I have to do is play the K-League return match. Incheon will play an away game against Jeonbuk Hyundai on the 6th of next month.
