Double acting hydraulic cylinder is a type of hydraulic cylinder that is capable of applying force in both directions, allowing it to perform work in both the extending and retracting strokes. It is commonly used in various industrial and mobile equipment applications where high force, precision control, and smooth operation are required.

The double acting hydraulic cylinder consists of a cylindrical barrel, a piston, and two ports, one for oil inlet and the other for oil outlet. The piston is connected to a piston rod that extends from one end of the cylinder. When oil is supplied to the inlet port, it creates pressure that pushes the piston and piston rod outwards, extending the cylinder. Similarly, when oil is supplied to the outlet port, it creates pressure that pushes the piston and piston rod inwards, retracting the cylinder.

Double acting hydraulic cylinders can be used in various applications such as construction equipment, mining machinery, marine vessels, and agriculture equipment. They offer a high degree of flexibility and control, enabling operators to precisely control the movement of heavy loads and machinery with minimal effort.
