Having had an interest in gardening that was passed on to Mark by his late Grandma, by the age of 4, he could name all the plants in their garden by both their common and Latin names. He then maintained a patch on his parent's allotment from the age of 8, until he got his own at 18, then went on to maintain the private ground of a multimillionaire, until he had enough confidence to set up his own gardening business, which he has now been running for over 19 years.
