Rod Fergusson, head of Gears of War developer The Coalition is announcing that the studio is closing in order to work for Blizzard. Fergusson has been an integral part of developing the Gears of War franchise from the beginning, working on the first installment of the franchise and every subsequent installment thereafter.
In a tweet, Fergusson confirmed he is joining Blizzard in March to run all aspects of the Diablo franchise. He also expressed gratitude to his former colleagues in The Coalition and Xbox.
