The petrochemical industry produces synthetic fibers. The highly negative carbon footprint for construction and the considerable costs to recycle artificial pitches following ten years of use. In addition, numerous studies indicate that the risk of injury is higher on synthetic pitches. Additionally, the studies do not agree; however, it has not been established that "rubber infill" used on artificial pitches made of car tire residues is not carcinogenic.
