What is Sleep Apnea?
Sleep apnea is when an individual finds difficulty breathing while sleeping. Besides, the word ‘Apnea’ itself is a Greek word which, after translation, means ‘Breathless .’ It occurs mainly due to blockage of the airway (obstructive apnea) or the inability of your brain to exert direct control over breathing (central apnea). According to statistics, about 5 to 10% of people worldwide suffer from Sleep Apnea. Since it is quite a common sleeping disorder, it needs to be treated as soon as possible using a continuous positive airway pressure treatment.
