In a recent forum post, Blizzard now says its thinking on WOTLK Gold the subject has "changed quite an amount" from the initial interviews.Wrath of the Lich King Classic is not currently set to have a release date, but is expected to be released later in the year. Modern WoW's newest expansion, Dragonflight will also be scheduled to arrive before the end of 2022.

A Story of World of Warcraft So FarSee MoreSome WoW fans are asking Blizzard To Delay Dragonflight

The release date for World of Warcraft 's next expansion, Dragonflight, is far ahead of what many players expected, with Blizzard recently confirming the expansion is on track for a 2022 release.

That was not news many players in the game's community were hoping to hear. In fact, when Blizzard launched Dragonflight back in April the game was not able to give any kind of release date or timeframe and instead told players it would come out when it was ready.

The players aren't sure what they should do with the situation. On one part, the players are eager to get over the disappointment that was Shadowlands and return to Azeroth as it was. On the other hand due to the delayed date for the announcement and the fact that alpha testing for Dragonflight is still not underway on the game's public test realm (but is likely to start very soon) gamers are concerned an announcement date of 2022 is too soon. As such, a significant part of the community is practically begging Blizzard to hold off Dragonflight for a while, let it rest and announce the expansion by the end of 2023.

Sure, a less-than-six-month window for alpha test, beta tests, pre-patch (which typically lasts several weeks long) and an expansion release may seem like a tight window. However, it's not completely unrealistic as users in the group have stated on Reddit. In a blog post by WoW creator cheap WOW WOTLK Classic Gold MrGM broke down the amount of time between the alpha testing of previous expansions , and an expansion's date of release.
