In 2013, RuneScape reached a two million accounts milestone. The game naturally evolved since its first release -- with major updates in 2004 and 2013 -- yet players were still enthralled by retro sensibilities: a poll of 160,000 fans resulted in the Buy OSRS gold restoration of old-school servers, and this leaves Jagex's announcement even more bittersweet.
The good news -- because there is always a bright side to everything -- is that RuneScape Classic servers continue to be online right now, and Gielindor's doors will remain open for another 3 months.
The studio has been working with all 3 organizations on a local, national, and global level to try and affect change and support young people struggling with mental health.
"Our passionate and ample Rs gold community has helped raise thousands of pounds to get several extraordinary causes throughout the past couple of decades," explained Jagex CEO, Phil Mansell.
"By focusing on encouraging the mental health and wellbeing of young people through cooperating with these three charities, we expect they will once again come together and help people receive the backing they have to deal with the turbulence of the world today."
