Grinding Gear Games’ Path of Exile Currency will likely be receiving its latest content update on March 8th, starting the Synthesis League. It recently revealed patch notes for update 3.6.0 and explained how Synthesis League works, the modern Skill Gems and Unique Items, and lots of changes which are being meant to existing spells. Check out the full patch notes here.
There’s rather a lot to get through, but some in the major points include changes to Life Leech, a fresh Energy Shield Leech function with new passive skill tree nodes for your same, plus much more. Spells like Armageddon Brand and Storm Brand happen to be tweaked for being slightly less potent. Meanwhile, skills like Flame Totem and Storm Burst are actually reworked completely.
If that weren’t enough, the Betrayal League content articles are being rolled to the Standard League. The Atlas of Worlds may also be shuffled, and changes have been created to Enhancements to help them to have their own slot on items rather than taking up the Implicit mod slot. Synthesis League will likely be going live for PC (and many likely Xbox One) on Friday. The PS4 version of Path of Exile hasn’t been dated, but should arrive in mid-March.
The Synthesis Challenge League
Challenge leagues make the perfect opportunity to get a fresh start in a whole new economy. All of your old characters and backpacks are still present inside Standard and Hardcore leagues, but you’re inspired to Buy POE Items  and join the brand new leagues, complete challenges and demonstrate your mastery of Path of Exile!

With 3.6.0, you will discover Standard, Hardcore and Solo Self-Found variations with the Synthesis challenge league available. They have exactly the same core mechanics and items. You can create private league versions these leagues, with mods which will make the game harder.  In the Synthesis Challenge League, you might meet Cavas, a lingering spirit that has lost his memories. He needs your assistance to piece together his past and locate the secrets which are today isolated in their mind.
Help Cavas by exploring these lost memories and activating the memory stabilisers contained within. But be fast, because memories degrade, and when you linger long or grab the wrong turn chances are you'll degrade together! Successfully stabilising the memory enables Cavas to hold it for use inside Memory Nexus.
By coming to the Memory Nexus you may use your stored memories to develop a route to distant memories. Distant memories contain great challenges and valuable rewards. You may even stumble across Fractured Items, that have mods that happen to be locked in place and should not be modified.
Use Fractured Items inside the Synthesiser (found within the Memory Nexus) to craft item base types with powerful new implicit modifiers! Which modifiers you will get depend for the mods chosen through the Synthesiser around the items you’re sacrificing. What can you create?
The new challenge leagues will include a set of 40 new challenges. When you complete 12 challenges, you may receive the Synthesis Crown and Synthesis Crown Attachment. When you reach 24 challenges, you'll receive the Synthesis Pet. At 36 challenge completed you’ll get the Synthesis Wings. These microtransactions are merely obtainable in this league.
From the 19th challenge onwards along with every third challenge and then, you may receive pieces from the Synthesis Totem Pole decoration to produce in your hideout. The Totem Pole permanently showcases how many in the Synthesis challenges you completed through the league.
