World of Warcraft wotlk classic : wotlk classic The latest raid, called the Sanctum of Domination is now cleared for its Mythic difficulty after a gruelling first-of-its-kind race between the most prestigious guilds in the past week.
The award were given to European guild Echo which defeated the raid's opponent, Sylvanas Windrunner, after 4 days of 176 attempts and without a single death during their final battle in addition according to Icy Veins. The race was tied with Echo as well as the guild Complexity-Limit However, Echo was able to take the win, despite having to take the night off. Echo even required a bit of miraculous intervention by Blizzard itself. One of the initial Sylvanas strategies was to have one player take on an additional opponent known as the Mawforged Colossus to let everyone else in the guild to avoid the Colossus and concentrate on taking down Sylvanas in the quickest manner possible. In the ideal scenario, this would allow Echo to bypass the boss's enrage mechanism that would result in Sylvanas taking on significant damage.
For Echo, Blizzard hotfixed the fight in mid-attack by modifying it so that the Mawforged Colossus comes with an in-built enrage timer which starts as soon as Sylvanas is able to be targeted which means it is capable of eliminating the tank in one shot and completely destroying the entire raid. Echo needed to modify their entire strategy in the blink of an eye. Despite the setback, just less then 24 hours after Echo declared cheap WoTLK Gold the victory.
