This is it! The Safran Electrical & Power Chihuahua site produced its 4 millionth switch.Wireless Network Since 2014 and the acquisition of this activity by Safran, they have been producing high-quality switches in cooperation with the company US sites. Key industries are relying on switch integrity dedicated to mission critical subsystems for aerospace, military and industrial markets. "When we started the manufacturing activity in Chihuahua, I never thought about the speed on how the team would be adjusted to the new business environment. Since everyone came from a wiring manufacturing background, it was going to be a challenge. With a lot of teamwork and great support from our team in Sarasota, we started to learn the new processes with a very high sense of commitment and overcame that situation very quickly. And here we are now, building the 4th million piece with high competitiveness and good performance overall," said Carlos Arvizu, Program Manager. With over 3,500 employees, the multiple Safran Electrical & Power plants at Chihuahua also create electrical panel assemblies, harnesses, fiber optics and electrical cabinets. Additionally, Chihuahua is home to the world's largest aircraft wiring facility, providing 95% of electrical wiring for the Boeing 787 Dreamliner.Switch variations produced by the facility include EMI/RFI shielded pushbutton, environmentally sealed, miniature, precision snap action, rocker, toggle, Wire Terminal Systems (IWTS), switch guards and shields. Switch options include contact-less, extended-life, snap-action, tapered and limit switch versions. Performance ranges from logic level to high power applications
