SARS antibodyThe 2019 novel coronavirus, or "SARS-CoV-2", was discovered because of Wuhan virus pneumonia cases in 2019, and was named by the World Health Organization on January 12, 2020. It belongs to the beta genera of the Coronaviridae family, together with SARS coronavirus in 2003 and MERS coronavirus in 2012. The alignment between SARS-CoV-2 and 2003 SARS CoV has about 70% sequence similarity and 40% sequence similarity with MERS CoV.
