World of Warcraft interview
Eternity’s End, World of Warcraft patch 9.2, launches tomorrow, Feb. 22, in North America and Wednesday in Europe, but its players are already looking ahead to future content. We spoke with Warcraft game director Ion Hazzikostas about the future of the Shadowlands expansion – and beyond. To get more news about Buy World of Warcraft Items, you can visit lootwow.com official website.
Hazzikostas told GLHF about upcoming changes in the next patch, 9.2.5, which will usher in cross-faction play between Horde and Alliance players. That patch will, he tells us, potentially include some new quality-of-life features for gamers who play with each other across servers, as well.
Patch 9.2 brings players the new zone of Zereth Mortis, the new raid Sepulcher of the First Ones (which opens March 1), a new reputation to earn, two new Mythic+ halves of the Tazavesh dungeon, and a host of new in-game systems. Hazzikostas says players will notice a new, cheerier vibe the moment they step through the portal to the new zone.
“It’s bright and shiny and glowing and a very big change of pace from the relatively oppressive environments — admittedly, by design — of the Maw [zone,] and Korthia to a moderate extent as an extension of the Maw,” he says.
A new Cypher of the First Ones system allows you to gradually understand the language of the denizens there, unlocking new content and outdoor buffs and filling collectors’ coffers with mounts, pets and cosmetic items.
What it won’t give you: additional character power. That’s by design, Hazzikostas says. Blizzard Entertainment heard loud and clear that players didn’t want to have to do fundamentally different styles of gameplay to succeed in end game content. So outdoor explorers can frolic in Zereth Mortis, but raiders can stick to the main questline, do some daily quests, and ignore the Cypher system altogether if they’re so inclined.
“If you want to, it’s there for you — there’s a ton of stuff to explore, and I encourage everyone to check it out — but we’re not going to force you to do it,” he says.
