As February draws to a close, NBA 2K22 is getting closer to the end of season four in its MyTeam mode, which is scheduled for February 25, and with it is the announcement of major things to come in season five. Producer Jonathan Smith joined Constant Walker on the official NBA2K Twitch channel during their Logo Show broadcast, teasing some of the topics in the near future that have the basketball community buzzing.
Although there was nothing specific to announce in the broadcast but what viewers did get was enough to spark speculation on the web regarding what NBA 2K22's fifth season will have to offer. Smith dismissed any attempt at digging deeper for more details, but declared on Wednesday that the Courtside Report is coming shortly which could mean more information will be available in the next few days.
At 13 minutes, Smith was on the show and was asked questions about the forthcoming season of MyTeam A mode in which players can buy and Buy NBA 2K22 MT gain packs of cards, create teams, and participate around the world in tournaments. One of the biggest announcements to be announced will be the mention of the Dark Matter card being the reward for achieving level 40. It's the first time that a card with this rarity could be obtained for free.
