On an Runescape website, I discovered that OSRS Gold the following was about the Spider Orb: "The Spider orb can be described as a magic orb that is worn inside the slot for shields. The item requires 20 Magic for wear. It is the off-hand equivalent for the spider's hand and lets players cast spells with the off-hand slot."

What I don't understand is that it's an off-hand version of the spider wand. It allows players to use their off-hand slot. What exactly is this and should I even bother using it at all? In addition, I do not have any idea what "off-hand slot" means.

Well as I'm sure you've noticed , you can use dual-wielding weapons in the present. Prior to this (as in the pre-Evolution of Combat) other than 2 hand weapons, your only options were to use a single hand weapon with a shield or a somewhat offensive shield slot item like a Defender and a God book although they were shields in theory. So now you have an extra choice - you can wield a weapon and a shield for extra defensive bonuses (and can use a couple shield only defensive/constitution abilities) or you can dual wield weapons.

Dual using is more focused on offensive evidently, and is slightly more efficient than using two-handed weapons because you'll have better capabilities. Which is why most people favor dual crossbows more than a two-handed crossbow or bow, and a wand + the shield slot as an offensive weapon (usually orbs like Spider Orb) Spider Orb) rather than staves (except for certain circumstances where you must risk just one of the items). The basic idea is to Buy RuneScape Gold think of an orb as being a form of crossbow or sword off-hand even thought it doesn't look like a weapon.
