The Atlanta Hawks have reportedly agreed to sign their first free agent of this offseason https://www.hawksoutletstore.com/Wes_Iwundu_Jersey-43, as Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports they will bring back veteran forward Solomon Hill on a one-year deal.Free agent F Solomon Hill has agreed to a one-year deal to return to the Atlanta Hawks, source tells ESPN.Adrian Wojnarowski August 2, 2021Hill signed with the Hawks last year on a minimum, and proved to be an invaluable veteran resource for the coaching staff in the wake of a slew of injuries on the wing Atlanta suffered throughout the 2020-21 season. Hill appeared in 71 of the Hawks' 72 regular season games last season, including 16 starts. He averaged 4.5 points and 3.0 rebounds per game while providing needed veteran leadership both on the court and in the locker room. Hill also appeared in 14 of the Hawks' 18 postseason games, starting three of them.Hawks coach Nate McMillan and Hill have a relationship that dates back to their days with the Indiana Pacers, when McMillan was an assistant under Frank Vogel and Hill was a young player trying to find his footing in the NBA https://www.hawksoutletstore.com/John_Collins_Jersey-9.Hill returning on what will presumably be a minimum contract is a nice get for Atlanta, who seems set to return much of the team from 2020-21 that notoriously went on an unexpected run to the Eastern Conference Finals, where they would lose to the Milwaukee Bucks in 6 games. The Hawks are far from done, as they have yet to work out a deal with restricted free agent forward John Collins, who may be running out of other potential suitors as cap space dries up around the league.
