As a Runescaper because 2006, using a consistant membership never lapsing, I'd love to say this upgrade is awful and gets less than 1 star.Players are forced to play insistent games and or skill for 40+ hours should they wish to fill out the new story line quests. It's not an expansion to be pleased with, there's little to do this that other towns in Runescape don't have.
Not the best update ever buy RS gold, but maybe not the worst. They have room to improve. I loved the narrative content, the graphical upgrade of this desert (they widened the River Elid eventually; we need that for many rivers in the game) and the town itself, as well as the fact that it's a nice skilling hub for midsize gamers (Prifddinas is still the greater heartbeat for higher-level players), but the faction system limits players from playing the content they desire. Instead of pacing the player as I believe they were trying to perform, it only limits the player in a bothersome way.I've seen a lot of upgrades in my 13 years of enjoying RS, and there have been worse ones. But they are able to do better and I hope they require player feedback into account for another growth in September.
I was marginally interested in this"new" area... after catching a headline hinting at it on the world wide web so I was drawn to the article over.
After reading it however, it seems to me runescape 2018 that a few tough core specifics are actually given other than it's visually stunning. Well whoop-dee-dooo! If that is true, those conducting the show at Jagex have definitely whiffed at still another pitch for yet another strike. We have seen visually striking or even stunning before... within a few years ago... but with content that is not really entertaining, WHAT'S THE POINT?!?
The article made me think of the past when Dungeoneering came out. Was it new? Yup. Was it exciting? A little bit. Can it be cool? That all depended on who you're talking to at any given time but many people were NOT impressed with it whatsoever after a short time once the reality of the art sunk in. Level 120? Dungeoneering itself? It was to be nothing more than a pain in the ass way of getting a couple of new items and oh yes, it required a lot of hours to get it done!
What it really amounted to once I looked at it, performed it and saw exactly what was entailed... was that ability was nothing more than a"skill" put into position in order to give all the obsessive/compulsives some thing to do after they had done everything else to perform under the RS sun. Can you say... level 120 anyone?!? The fear at the time was the level 120 was going to become the new standard for many abilities but for those people who were still sane and exercised common sense logic, we saw nothing more than the empty shell with a great paint job.
